The school summer holidays will soon be here and although it's great to share time with our children it can be stressful too. Juggling work and family commitments often leaves us feeling drained, exhausted and stressed. Not much fun for us or the family!
Stress management is a vital part the work life balance, looking after ourselves and taking time out to relax can allows us to take a step back from chaos and actually enjoy ourselves. You may feel that there isn't time in your busy diary for yourself? I know how that feels, but booking out one hour for a relaxing treatment such as reflexology , massage or maybe just an hours peace walking out in the fresh air can really leave you feeling refreshed and revitalised.
You may be able to organised a "me time" swap with a friend so you take turns to look after the children while the other one has her time out? Or book a treatment at home when the children are tucked up in bed? It isn't easy to see where you can find time for yourself but I'm sure you and your family will feel the benefit if you do.
